Non-Trauma Patient
     
Are VS's abnormal?      
         
Assess Vital Signs No
Vital Signs are normal...
Are there any of the following?
GCS: <13 (unless normal for Pt)
Resp Distress: Moderate or Severe
Perfusion: Less than Adequate
SPO2 (room air): <90%
SPO2 (supplemental O2): <93%
  ...but is there a significant Medical Condition?
     
  Assess Medical Condition
  Are there any of the following:

Medical Symptoms / Syndromes::
- Acute Coronary Syndrome
- Stroke
- Severe Sepsis, including Meningococcal disease [Adult] [Paed]
- Possible Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm
- Undiagnosed severe pain [Adult] [Paed]
Need for possible hyperbaric treatment e.g. Acute Decompression Illness or Cyanide
Hypothermia [Adult] [Paed] or Hyperthermia [Adult] [Paed]
