• IV (preferred) • IM (if IV access unable to be obtained) |

Special Notes |
• Usual Dose: Adult 1g, Child 50mg/kg - Ceftriaxone IV must be made up to 10ml using sterile water and dose administered over 2min. - Ceftriaxone IM must be made up to 4ml using 1% Lignocaine and dose administered in lateral upper thigh |
